Ingredients:
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 eggs
2 tablespoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
For the icing:
2 cups powdered sugar
3-4 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sprinkles for decoration
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
Take tablespoons of dough and roll into balls. Place on the prepared baking sheets and slightly flatten with your hand.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool on wire racks.
For the icing, mix together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Dip the top of each cookie into the icing, then return to the wire rack and immediately top with sprinkles. Allow to set before serving.
