Ingredients:
500 g ground beef
1 small cabbage, chopped
2 carrots, sliced
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (400 g) diced tomatoes
4 cups beef broth
1/2 cup uncooked rice (optional)
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried thyme
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
👩🍳 Instructions:
Cook the beef
In a large pot, heat olive oil and brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
Sauté vegetables
Add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
Add base ingredients
Stir in tomato paste, diced tomatoes, broth, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Add cabbage & rice
Add chopped cabbage and rice (if using). Mix well.
Simmer
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 25–30 minutes until vegetables and rice are tender.
Taste & serve
Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
🍽️ Tips:
Add a pinch of chili flakes for a spicy kick 🌶️
You can replace rice with barley or leave it out for a low-carb version
